About Fallen Patriots
Approximately 25,000 children have lost a parent in the military over the last 35+ years. The vision of Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation is to ensure that every child of a fallen patriot receives all necessary college funding. Since its founding over 23 years ago, Children of Fallen Patriots has awarded over $75 million in scholarships to over 3,600 children of our fallen, including over 1,900 graduates.

While our nation is not actively at war, the echoes of previous conflicts continue for children of fallen servicemembers. With a projected $300 million shortfall over the next 20 years, CFP requires over $150 million in the next four years alone to support Gold Star children affected by the severe losses in Iraq and Afghanistan. These students are now of college age and rely on OUR help to bridge the gap between government assistance and the actual cost of their education.

*Board donations cover almost all fundraising expenses such that only 4% of non board donations go to those areas. Impact stats as of 3/31/25.

Meet CFP Scholar Jenna!

Fallen Patriots scholar, Jenna P., is the daughter of U.S. Marine Corps Officer Lt. Col Benjamin P. who was killed in action while serving in Afghanistan in 2011, just three days after Jenna’s 9th birthday. When asked what her father’s service means to her, Jenna shares, “My father's 20 years of service in the Marine Corps is something that makes me so incredibly proud. My dad loved what he did, he believed in it, and he worked hard at it. Seeing him put on his uniform and boots each morning was a reminder of the self-sacrifices he made constantly. Now, I see many of the characteristics that he showed during my childhood coming through in myself. He taught me to be resilient, to stay strong in the face of adversity, and to stand up for what I believe in. My father's service and sacrifice remind me daily of my father's love for his country and his family, and I work to make him proud every day.”

With the help of Fallen Patriots, Jenna graduated with a bachelor’s degree in operations and supply chain management from the University of South Carolina.

“Without Fallen Patriots, I would not have been able to attend the University of South Carolina, as it is an out of state school and my family could not afford the tuition. Fallen Patriots’ assistance allowed me to attend my dream school and has taken the stress of college finances off my family and me. I was able to focus wholeheartedly on my studies and all the opportunities that are available on campus to learn and grow.”
